Home By Choice is an organization located in Sherwood Park, AB that offers social activities for stay at home moms, women on maternity leave and moms who work part-time. Home By Choice is also a registered non-profit association governed by bylaws and a volunteer executive committee.
GOALS
- With the many different options open to women today, we want to help each mom realize their importance in staying at home with their families.
- To help moms excel at what they do.
- To help moms and society in general to realize how important the occupation of mothering really is and to ensure moms have a voice in our community.
OBJECTIVES
- Give encouragement, support and advice to one another, through group discussions, printed material, relevant speakers and friendship.
- Find out from mothers what they want and need to know about being at home by choice and help them find information.
- Inform mothers of issues affecting the family in society while providing relevant information for the purpose of supporting their role of parent and strengthening family life.
- Explore new friendships and bonds that will strengthen us as a group and unique individuals.
